Virtual Speech Therapy
In Person SLP Facilitation Model
No Para Necessary
2 Caseloads - 2 SLPs - Divided Tasks
In Person SLP
Virtual SLP
In this model, the district must have at least one in person SLP (IP-SLP). The IP-SLP and the virtual SLP (V-SLP) share two caseloads. The IP-SLP does little to no therapy, but instead coordinates and facilitates virtual sessions, completes assessments, reports, meetings, and case management tasks. The V-SLP does all the therapy for both caseloads, daily notes, and billing.
Students who are able to come to the therapy room alone can come at their scheduled time, sit at the computer which stays logged into the virtual sessions, and begin therapy. Students who need to be accompanied to the therapy room, can be accompanied by the IP-SLP. The IP-SLP will be in the room to provide adult supervision while the students are in virtual therapy sessions. The IP-SLP can work on paperwork while providing adult supervision.
No para necessary. By dividing up the tasks, the IP-SLP and the V-SLP(s) can provide the same amount of services as being fully staffed with IP-SLPs. The IP-SLP personally knows all the students and ensures that they receive the services needed.
Just need a little help for overflow/compensatory services? We can do that too. We bill by the hour.
